Hi, I have decided to collect Webley air pistols after owning a pre war Junior for many years, I have bought the Gordon Bruce Book and also Dennis Hillier's Collectors Guide to air pistols but from what I have read there is not a foolproof way of dating them.

For instance the Junior I have has the serial number J7--- but I cant find anywhere that can tell me which year it was made.
