Updating an oak kitchen
We don't have a huge budget and will not be able to replace the countertops right away because the flooring is priority.I'm thinking a muted blue on the walls and thick-striped black and white rug for a more modern look. He's given me complete decorative freedom over the rest of the house, so it's only fair to comply with this one hideous wish.
it was MUCH faster and easier than painting a million doors and trim!!may have lit a match under me to get rolling on our kitchen project. When we moved in, our entire house was 80’s – like, major 80’s.Once dry, lightly sand (by hand) to remove high parts. This helps get out any bubbles from the roller or brush, but also sloughs off higher parts that show from the grain. Our 90's cabinets had previously had semi-hidden hinges that were actually inserted into the doors, and there were T-shaped holes on the cabinet pieces.
